I want Miles to be successful. I want him to find his purpose and pursue it early, with grit and determination. I want him to go places I’ll never go. I want him to see things I’ll never see. I want him to walk through doors I’ll never enter.
I want ALL of the things for my son.
But what I want for him most of all is to spend his eternity with me. A place has been prepared for him and I don’t want him to miss out. So, while I will nurture his intellect and support his pursuits, I will most of all be RELENTLESS in ministering the Gospel of Jesus Christ to his soul.
I’m not talking about Bible beating either - I’m talking about showing him how to walk this thing out. How to stumble and fall, how to fail, how to hope, how to dream, and most importantly, how to love like Christ loves. The decision will be his but the guidance is mine.
The best thing my parents ever did for me was introduce me to my Redeemer, my Lord, my Savior - to show me what it looks like to walk with Him.
My kid deserves the best too, and so does yours.
